Regenerate Top Drop Down Menu

Regarding the regeneration of the top drop down menu the steps are as follows:

• go to the site map page in administrative mode
• click on the 'display' tab in the upper left corner
• click on the red link 'Re-generate Site Map'
• click on the 'advanced' tab
• click on the 'Re-Generate ALL DotNet' link 
  • A new web browser will pop up with an application 
  • Click on the button 'proceed' - this regenerates the entire site and ensures that the new page added will show on all the pages in the drop down menu.
     

It was thought that the previous way to regenerate the top drop down menus was too cumbersome and relied to heavily on javascript.  The reliance on the javascript meant that a user of the Bonsai CMS was going to need to go to at least 3 different pages and perform 2 seperate actions with a refreshing of a browser added into the mix. 

This is no longer the case.

So with the conversion into a .Net platform and in an effort to reduce the amount of time of regenerating the top drop down nav when ever anyone added a new page and increase the ability to control/manage the top drop down nav, he instituted a CSS driven top drop down menu.
